VRFocus - Back at Gamescom 2014 indie developer White Paper Games finally revealed the long-rumoured PlayStation 4 version of the upcoming Unreal Engine 4 version of Ether One. At the time the developer stated that it likely wouldnt be supporting the Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) despite support for the Oculus Rift HMD being included in the PC version. A few months later and the team is now hopeful that it will indeed support the device.

VRFocus - Back in September 2014 VRFocus reported on the launch of a Steam Greenlight campaign for an upcoming horror videogame named Astray. At the time developer Aegon Games had said that it hoped to include support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) in the title for launch. This month the developer has not only passed its Greenlight campaign but confirmed that VR support will indeed be included.

VRFocus - A few stealth-based experiences for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) have been posted to Oculus VRs Share software portal in the past few weeks. Among them is a demo for Resistance, an upcoming VR compatible videogame from indie developer Merire. The sample for this first-person experience can currently be downloaded for free on PC through Share and comes with full support for the Oculus Rifts second development kit (DK2).

VRFocus - Indie developer Untold Games is still yet to outright confirm that its upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible adventure title Loading Human will come to PlayStation 4. The team revealed that it was 'concept approved' for Sony Computer Entertainment's (SCE) console earlier in 2014, but has only been able to fully commit to a PC version of the experience with support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) so far. Today the developer has provided a hint that a PlayStation 4 version is also on track.

VRFocus - Back in August 2014 celebrated videogame developer BioWare said goodbye to one its most high-profile staff members in Casey Hudson, the director of the Mass Effect trilogy. Hudson left his position as he neared 16 years of working with the company in order to 'take on a new set of challenges'. At the time the developer didn't reveal exactly where he would be moving to next. This week he has suggested that, wherever he's going, virtual reality (VR) will play a big part.
